Donating gems to feed dogs in need

You can donate gems inside the app to feed dogs in need.

Good news: you don’t need to purchase anything! Simply complete challenges to earn gems (see Challenges explained). Donations don’t come from in-app purchases — I match the virtual donations with a real one.

I have a cost ratio for what a meal costs. When the current goal is reached, a batch is bought and brought to a shelter. Then it’s on to the next goal — there are always more meals to provide for real dogs.

Since the idea is still new in the app, I’m learning as I go and want to make the process more transparent. The plan is to document each batch of food in a kind of “blog” inside the same view that currently shows the progress bar — but I’m not there yet. I do everything on my own, so it’ll take time.
